Alfred Restaurant Group Donates 500 Meals to PDG Rehabilitation Services

Bethesda and Baltimore locations to donate Thanksgiving dinner to non-profit.

November 17, 2020: Chef Ashish Alfred, owner of the Alfred Restaurant Group, is pleased to announce the donation of 500 Thanksgiving meals to Partnership Development Group Rehabilitation Services (PDG). Despite being open at only 25 percent capacity and amid challenging times, Alfred’s two restaurant locations, Duck Duck Goose in Fells Point and Duck Duck Goose in Bethesda, will each donate 250 meals to the cause.

“Any opportunity where I can donate my time, efforts and resources to the community, especially during the holiday season and during these uncertain times, I am happy to do so,” said Chef Ashish Alfred, Owner, Alfred Restaurant Group. “PDG is a critical organization in this region. Their work to support adults with severe disabilities in need and help them get back on their feet is inspiring, and I am proud to be a small part.”

The meal will consist of traditional Thanksgiving fare including turkey or ham, mashed potatoes, a vegetable and dessert. PDG will pick up the donations from DDG Bethesda on Nov. 17 at 2PM, and DDG Baltimore on Nov. 18 at 2PM.

“We appreciate and are truly honored to have Duck Duck Goose make this generous contribution this Thanksgiving season,” said Sondra Tranen, Executive Director of PDG Rehabilitation Services. “It’s going to make a significant impact on individuals struggling with mental illness and substance abuse. We thank Chef Ashish Alfred from the bottom of our hearts!”
