October Mental Health Awareness

October is…

This month is filled with unique opportunities to learn, raise awareness, and overcome many mental-health-related struggles facing Americans today.

Bullying is often tied to depression and feelings of negative self-worth, leading to many teen suicides. In addition, those with ADHD are at a much higher risk of developing mental, behavioral, and emotional concerns and disorders.

What’s more, depression often goes undiagnosed and can lead to other mental illnesses, suicidal behavior, and even poor physical health. This month is a great chance to learn more, support those going through difficult times, and share screenings so more people can take control of their health!
